The dwellers of the wood belied the sent ones. 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure, do not be among the cheats, 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 And do not wrong men of their things, and do not act corruptly in the earth, making mischief. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Then make fragments of the heaven fall upon us, if thou art of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
