The Companions of the Wood rejected the messengers. 176 What time Shu'aib said unto them: fear ye not? 177 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Give full measure, and cause no loss (to others). 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They replied, "You are bewitched. 185 And you are naught but a mortal like ourselves, and we know you to be certainly of the liars. 186 So cause a fragment of the sky to fall on us, if you are truthful." 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 191
