The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 so fear God, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 And weigh with a balance straight. 182 And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption. 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They replied: 'You are surely one of those bewitched. 185 "Thou art no more than a mortal like us, and indeed we think thou art a liar! 186 So cause thou a fragment of the heaven to fall upon us, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Verily herein is a sign; but most of them are not believers. 190 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
