The dwellers of the Thicket belied their Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 "I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 178 I ask of you no wage for this; 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 Have fear of the One who has created you and the generations that lived before you." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 You are only a human being like ourselves. Indeed we think you are a liar. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 Answered [Shu'ayb]: "My Sustainer knows fully well what you are doing." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 Yet verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 191

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
