The dwellers of the forest also rejected the messengers. 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 but be conscious of Him who has created you, just as [He created] those countless generations of old!" 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 You are nothing but a man like us, and we think you are a liar. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: My Lord knows best what you do. 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 190 Your Lord, He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 191
