The dwellers of the thicket gave the lie to the apostles. 176 When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” 177 Verily I am unto you an apostle trusted. 178 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who cause others to lose. 181 weigh with an even balance 182 "And withhold not things justly due to men, nor do evil in the land, working mischief. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
