The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib (Shuaib) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah (and obey Him)? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 I ask of you no reward for this. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ “Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” 181 Weigh on an even balance. 182 and diminish not the goods of the people, and do not mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said, "You are only of those affected by magic. 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 “Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” 187 (Shu'aib) said: "My Lord knows well what you are doing." 188 But they belied him, then the punishment of the Day of Shadow (raining fire) seized them. Truly, it was the punishment of a dreadful day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 191
