The dwellers of Al-Aiyka [near Madyan (Midian)] belied the Messengers. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 178 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 179 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 Said they: "Thou art but one of the bewitched, 185 You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars. 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
