The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 I am a trustworthy Messengers. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 and [in all your dealings] weigh with a true balance, 182 and do not diminish the goods of the people, and do not make mischief in the earth, working corruption. 183 and have fear of Him Who created you and the earlier generations." 184 They said: "You are only one of those bewitched! 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day. 189 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 190 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 191
