The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 178 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 179 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 180 ۞ "Maintain just measure in your business and do not cause loss to others. 181 Weigh your goods with proper balance 182 and do not deliver short, and do not go about creating mischief in the land, 183 And fear He who created you and the former creation." 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 You are but a human like ourselves, we think that you are one of the liars. 186 Then drop down on us lumps from heaven, if thou art one of the truthful.' 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they denied him, and We seized them with the torment of the Day of Shadowing (when the cloud had rained down fire). It was indeed the torment of a terrible day! 189 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 191
