The people of Aykah also gave the lie to the Messengers. 176 Shu'ayb asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 177 I am for you an honest Messenger. 178 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 179 And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 180 ۞ Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss. 181 and weigh with the straight scale, 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 So fear Him Who created you and the former generations. 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 Thou art but a mortal like us, and lo! we deem thee of the liars. 186 Cause, then, fragments of the sky to fall down upon us, if thou art a man of truth!" 187 He said: "My Lord knows best what ye do." 188 But they cried him lies; then there seized them the chastisement of the Day of Shadow; assuredly it was the chastisement of a dreadful day. 189 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
