The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 When Shu'aib said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 177 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 And I ask of you no hire therefor; and my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 180 ۞ Give a full measure and be not of those who diminish; 181 And weigh (things) with a right balance, 182 and do not deprive people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not act wickedly on earth by spreading corruption, 183 And fear Him who created you and all the earlier people." 184 They said: "You are no more than one of those who have been bewitched, 185 “You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they rejected him. Then the punishment of a day of overshadowing gloom seized them, and that was the Penalty of a Great Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 191
