The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 177 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 178 Have fear of God and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ "[Always] give full measure, and be not among those who [unjustly] cause loss [to others]; 181 weigh with an even balance 182 do not defraud people of what is rightfully theirs; and do not spread corruption in the land. 183 Fear Him who created you, and the generations of the ancients.' 184 They said: "Thou art only one of those bewitched! 185 "You are but a human being like us and verily, we think that you are one of the liars! 186 So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful." 187 He said, 'My Lord knows very well what you are doing.' 188 But they called him a liar, so the punishment of the day of covering overtook them; surely it was the punishment of a grievous day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
