Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 The Faithful Spirit has descended with it, 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that they wander about bewildered in every valley? 225 And that they say that which they do not? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
