Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter into the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
