And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 (a revelation) in clear Arabic language, 195 Without doubt it is (announced) in the mystic Books of former peoples. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 Neither would it suit them, nor they can (produce it). 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 and lower your wing to the believers who follow you. 215 then, if they disobey thee, say, 'I am quit of that you do.' 216 And put your trust in the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 and when thou turnest about among those who bow. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Should I tell you on whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
