And truly, this (the Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 Upon your heart (O Muhammad SAW) that you may be (one) of the warners, 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 they will not believe in it until they see the grievous punishment. 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our punishment? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 to admonish them. We have never been unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call on any deity besides God, lest you incur His punishment. 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you arise 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 [And] shall I tell you upon whom it is that those evil spirits descend? 221 They descend upon every calumniator, sinner. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
