Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a proof for them that the learned men of Israel knew about this? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 Would they (now) hasten on Our doom? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 for a reminder; and never did We wrong. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 Therefor invoke not with Allah another god, lest thou be one of the doomed. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and be kind to your believing followers. 215 If they disobey you, say: 'I am quit of what you do' 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen them wandering and bewildered in every valley 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
