Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a man of obscure tongue 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 they say: "Can we be granted some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Did you consider that if We were to let them enjoy life for many years 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 If they disobey you, say, "I bear no responsibility for what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who sees you (O Muhammad SAW) when you stand up (alone at night for Tahajjud prayers). 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every sinful, false one. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) 227
Almighty God's Truth.
