And lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the Worlds, 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 No evil ones have brought down this (Revelation): 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Observest thou not, that they wander about every vale. 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
