Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 This is (indicated) in the Books of earlier people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 And had We revealed it unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 We have thus caused denial of truth to enter into the hearts of the sinners: 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Beholdest thou? if We let them enjoy for years. 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And never did We destroy a township, but it had its warners 208 To remind, and We are never unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Mighty One, the Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
