Truly, it is the sending of the Lord of the Worlds. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 and had he recited it unto them [in his own tongue,] they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We cause (unbelief) to enter the hearts of sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them suddenly when they are not expecting it. 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 for, verily, He alone is all-hearing, all-knowing! 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
