This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Even so We have caused it to enter into the hearts of the sinners, 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 of what avail would their past enjoyment be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 Not by the Satans has it been brought down; 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
Almighty God's Truth.
