Truly it is the revelation of the Lord of all Being, 192 brought down by the Faithful Spirit 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 Had We revealed it to any of the non-Arabs, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 It shall come unto them on a sudden, and they shall not perceive. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Surely, He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
