Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The Trusted Spirit hath brought it down. 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the Children of Isra'il know it? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy the good things of life for a few years more, 205 And then there cometh unto them that which they had been promised. 206 All that with which they used to enjoy shall not avail them. 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And lower thy wing (in kindness) unto those believers who follow thee. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 and place thy trust in the Almighty, the Dispenser of Grace, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Should I tell you to whom the satans come? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
