And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 Upon your heart that you may be of the warners 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'Abdullah bin Salam who embraced Islam) of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you on whom the Satans come down? 221 They descend on every guilty impostor. 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 except those who believed and acted righteously and remembered Allah much, and when they themselves were subjected to wrong, they exacted retribution no more than to the extent of the wrong? Soon will the wrong-doers know the end that they shall reach. 227
