And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 And if we had revealed it to any of the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down: 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 Warn your nearest kinsmen, 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing." 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who watches you when you get up, 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Do you not see that in every valley they roam 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 The righteously striving believers among them who remember God very often and use their talent to seek help after they have been wronged are the exceptional. The unjust will soon know how terrible their end will be. 227
