And verily it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the True Spirit hath brought down 193 To thy heart and mind, that thou mayest admonish. 194 in the clear Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners 208 As a reminder; and never have We been unjust. 209 The devils did not bring it down. 210 It would neither suit them nor would they be able (to produce it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not on any other god with Allah, or thou wilt be among those under the Penalty. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 And be kind and humble to the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And thy movements among those who prostrate themselves, 219 Verily He! He is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 Only the erring people follow the poets. 224 Do you not see how they wander aimlessly in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
