Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 Upon thy heart, that thou mayest be of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- 206 So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 it behoves them not, neither are they able. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 Hence, [O man,] do not invoke any other deity side by side with God, lest thou find thyself among those who are made to suffer [on Judgment Day]. 213 And warn your nearest relations, 214 And lower thy wing to the Believers who follow thee. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And put thy trust in the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 And your movement among those who prostrate. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I tell you on whom the satans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, and remember Allah much, and reply back (in poetry) to the unjust poetry (which the pagan poets utter against the Muslims). And those who do wrong will come to know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
