Alshu'araa' 11 of 11
Now, behold, this [divine writ] has indeed been bestowed from on high by the Sustainer of all the worlds: 192 It has been revealed through the trustworthy Spirit 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 In a clear Arabic language. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not a Sign to them - (to wit, the Makkans) - that the learned men of the Children of Israel know that? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 And had he recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this [message] to pass [unheeded] through the hearts of those who are lost in sin: 200 They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 Never have We destroyed a town without sending down messengers to warn it, 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 They have been precluded from hearing it. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 And warn thou thy clan, the nearest ones. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 Then if they disobey thee, say: "I am free (of responsibility) for what ye do!" 216 And put thy trust on the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,- 217 Who watches you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen eagerly, but most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And that they say that which they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
