And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The honest Spirit (Gabriel) brought it down 193 To (communicate) to your heart that you may be a warner 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 And verily it is in the Scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not. 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 And then there came to them that which they were promised? 206 Of what avail shall their enjoyment be to them? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 It is not meet for them, nor is it in their power, 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 and extend kindness and affection to those of the believers who follow you. 215 If they do not obey you, tell them: "I am not responsible for what you do." 216 And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets - it is the seduced who follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 And they say what they do not do, 226 Except those who believe and do the right, and remember God a great deal, who retaliate only when they have been wronged. Yet the oppressors will now come to know through what reversals they will be overthrown! 227
