This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them, that it is known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 And if We had revealed it (this Quran) unto any of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 they will not believe in it till they behold the grievous suffering 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Would they then wish for Our Torment to be hastened on? 204 Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – 205 And afterwards comes to them that (punishment) which they had been promised! 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 And the Shaitans have not come down with it. 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 So do not call any other god beside Allah lest you become of those who will be punished, 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They incline their ears, and most of them are liars. 223 And as to the poets, those who go astray follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Save those that believe, and do righteous deeds, and remember God oft, and help themselves after being wronged; and those who do wrong shall surely know by what overturning they will be overturned. 227

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. (5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
