And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners - 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it to them, and they had not believed (it would have been different). 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment. 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 Then they will say: are we to be respited? 203 What! do they still seek to hasten on Our punishment? 204 Hast thou then seen, if We content them for (long) years, 205 and then Our torment will strike them, 206 of what avail will be the provisions of life which they have been granted to enjoy? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 as a reminder from Us: We are never unjust. 209 And the satans have not brought it down. 210 And it behoves them not, and they have not the power to do (it). 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred. 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 If they disobey you, tell them, "I condemn your disobedient deeds". 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 And your movements among those who fall prostrate (along with you to Allah in the five compulsory congregational prayers). 219 Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They come down on every guilty impostor. 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Do you not see that they wander about in every valley 225 And that they say what they practise not?- 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
God the Almighty always says the truth.
