And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 which the truthful spirit has carried down 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 And verily, it (the Quran, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad SAW) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people. 196 Is it not a token for them that the doctors of the Children of Israel know it? 197 But [even] had We bestowed it from on high upon any of the non-Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they want to hasten Our torment? 204 Tell Me, if We do let them enjoy for years, 205 and then the chastisement of which they were being warned were to come upon them, 206 It will profit them not that they enjoyed (this life)! 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 neither are they worthy of it, nor are they capable of it, 211 Lo! verily they are banished from the hearing. 212 So call on no other god but God, lest you are condemned to torment; 213 Warn your close relatives 214 And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 Lo! He, only He, is the Hearer, the Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) 222 They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars. 223 Poets are followed by the perverse. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
