Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to any one of the non-Arabs, 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 In this wise have We made way for it into the hearts of the culprits. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It will come upon them unawares, and they will not comprehend it. 202 and then they will exclaim, "Could we have a respite?" 203 Do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and then the promised punishment fell upon them, 206 of what avail to them will be all their past enjoyments? 207 Never did We destroy a population, but had its warners - 208 By way of reminder; and We never are unjust. 209 It was not the devils who brought down the Quran: 210 it is not for them, nor are they able. 211 The satans are barred from listening to anything from the heavens. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 and warn your nearest kinsmen; 214 And be kind to him who follows you of the believers. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 Have trust in the Majestic and All-merciful God, 217 Who observes you when you rise (to pray) 218 And your movements among those who bow in homage to God. 219 Surely He is the All-hearing, the All-knowing. 220 Shall I tell you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon every sinful liar. 222 (Into whose ears) they pour hearsay vanities, and most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, only the wayward follow them. 224 Have you not seen how they wander in every valley, 225 and that they [so often] say what they do not do [or feel]? 226 Save those who believe and do good works, and remember Allah much, and vindicate themselves after they have been wronged. Those who do wrong will come to know by what a (great) reverse they will be overturned! 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
