And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 Which the trusted spirit descended with 193 upon thy heart, that thou mayest be one of the warners, 194 In the perspicuous Arabic tongue. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 If We had sent it down on a barbarian 198 So that he should have recited it to them, they would not have believed therein. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 who will not believe in it, until they see the painful chastisement 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: Are we to be reprieved? 203 Do they really want Our chastisement to be expedited? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 That which they were made to enjoy shall not avail them? 207 We never destroyed any town without first sending to them warning and guidance. 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 The satans have not revealed the Quran; 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So do not call upon another god with Allah, lest you should be one of those who are punished. 213 And warn [whomever thou canst reach, beginning with] thy kinsfolk, 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” 216 And put your trust in Him Who is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And (seeth) thine abasement among those who fall prostrate (in worship). 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I declare unto you upon whom the satans descend! 221 They descend on every lying, wicked person, 222 Who give ear, and most of them are liars. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Hast thou not seen how they stray in every valley, 225 And that they say what they do not do. 226 [Most of them are of this kind] save those who have attained to faith, and do righteous deeds, and remember God unceasingly, and defend themselves [only] after having been wronged, and [trust in God's promise that] those who are bent on wrongdoing will in time come to know how evil a turn their destinies are bound to take! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
