And this (Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of all the worlds, 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 to your heart that you might become one of those who warn (others on behalf of Allah), 194 In the plain Arabic language. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 And he had read it unto them, even then they would not have been believers therein. 199 Thus have We caused it to enter the hearts of the sinners. 200 They will not believe in it until they suffer the painful torment. 201 So that it will come upon them suddenly, when they perceive not. 202 Then they will say: Shall we be respited? 203 Seek haste then they with our torment? 204 Think! If We let them enjoy life for some years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And We destroyed not a city but it had its warners. 208 For reminder, for We never were oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 nor does it behove them, nor does it lie in their power. 211 Indeed they are debarred from even hearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And admonish thy nearest kinsmen, 214 And lower thou thy wing unto those who follow thee as believers. 215 Then if they disobey you, say: "I am innocent of what you do." 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 who can see whether you stand up 218 and sees your movements among those who prostrate themselves: 219 Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and preaching what they themselves never practice. 226 Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned. 227
