And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. 192 The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down 193 upon thy heart, [O Muhammad] so that thou mayest be among those who preach 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Was it not a sign for them known to the learned of the Children of Israel? 197 If We had revealed it to a nonArab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it till they behold the painful doom, 201 And it shall come to them all of a sudden, while they shall not perceive; 202 They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Have you then considered if We let them enjoy themselves for years, 205 then there comes on them that they were promised, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And We destroyed no township but it had its warners 208 and reminded: for, never do We wrong [anyone]. 209 And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 Truly, they are expelled from hearing. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn your near relations, 214 And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers. 215 But if they disobey you, then say: Surely I am clear of what you do. 216 And rely thou upon the Mighty, the Merciful. 217 Who seeth thee standing forth (in prayer), 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-hearing and All-knowing." 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 Who gives ear (to the devils and they pour what they may have heard of the unseen from the angels), and most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 See you not that they speak about every subject (praising others right or wrong) in their poetry? 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
