The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta Sin. These are verses from the Quran, a book that makes things clear; 1 a guidance, and good tidings unto the believers 2 who are steadfast in prayer, who pay the religious tax, and who have strong faith in the life hereafter. 3 Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fairseeming unto them so that they are all astray. 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 (Muhammad), you have certainly received the Quran from the All-wise and All-knowing One. 6 When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.' 7 So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 Excepting any who may have done wrong and thereafter changeth evil for good then verily I am Forgiving, Merciful. 11 Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." 12 But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, 13 And they denied them out of malice and pride, though in their hearts they believed that they were true. So see how was the end of evil-doers! 14
