The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta, Seen. These are the verses of the Qur'an and a clear Book 1 A guidance and glad tidings unto the believers. 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter – We have made their deeds seem good to them, so they are astray. 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 You have been conveyed the Qur'an from One all-wise and all-knowing. 6 When Musa said to his family: Surely I see fire; I will bring to you from it some news, or I will bring to you therefrom a burning firebrand so that you may warm yourselves. 7 So, when he came to it, he was called: 'Blessed is he who is in the fire, and he who is about it. Glory be to God, the Lord of all Being! 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear. 10 Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful. 11 Put your hand inside your collar and it will come out luminous without evil? among the nine signs to Pharaoh and his nation, indeed they were an impious nation' 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 and they denied them, though their souls acknowledged them, wrongfully and out of pride. Behold, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 14
