The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ TaSeen. Those are the verses of the Koran, a clear Book, 1 a guidance and a glad tiding to the believers 2 who are constant in prayer and spend in charity: for it is they, they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 3 Indeed, for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made pleasing to them their deeds, so they wander blindly. 4 those are they whom an evil chastisement awaits, and they will be the greatest losers in the Hereafter. 5 As for you, (O Muhammad), you are receiving the Qur'an from the Most Wise, the All-Knowing. 6 Behold! Moses said to his family: "I perceive a fire; soon will I bring you from there some information, or I will bring you a burning brand to light our fuel, that ye may warm yourselves. 7 And when he came near it he was called: 'Blessed be who is (Moses) in the fire and (the angels) who are around it! Exaltations to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 8 O Moses, indeed it is I - Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Wise." 9 Throw down your staff." When Moses saw his staff on the ground moving like a living creature, he stepped back and did not come forward again. The Lord said,"Moses, do not be afraid. Messengers do not become afraid in My presence". 10 except he who has committed some wrong. But if he substitutes good in place of evil, I am Most Forgiving, Most Compassionate. 11 Now put your hand inside your cloak next to your bosom and it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This will be one of the nine signs for Pharaoh and his people: for truly they are a rebellious people." 12 But when Our tokens came unto them, plain to see, they said: This is mere magic, 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
