The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Qur'an and a Scripture that maketh plain; 1 a guidance and glad tidings to believers, 2 Who fulfil their devotional obligations, pay the zakat, and believe with certainty in the life to come. 3 As for those who will not believe in the life to come - behold, goodly have We made their own doings appear unto them, and so they stumble blindly to and fro 4 It is they whom the worst of suffering awaits: for it is they, they who in the life to come shall be the greatest losers! 5 You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. 6 Moses said to his family, "I have seen some fire. I shall bring you some news about it or some fire so that you can warmyourselves". 7 Then when he came unto it, he was cried unto: Thus; Blest is whosoever is in the fire and whosoever is around it; and hallowed be Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. 8 “O Moosa, I am indeed, in truth, Allah the Almighty, the Wise.” 9 Cast down your staff' And when he saw it writhing like a serpent, he turned about retreating, and did not turn back. 'Moses, do not fear, indeed the Messengers do not fear (when they are) with Me, 10 Otherwise, he who wrongs, then substitutes good after evil - indeed, I am Forgiving and Merciful. 11 Put your hand into your pocket. It will come out sheer white but unharmed. This is one of the nine miracles which shall be showing to the Pharaoh and his people; they are truly wicked men." 12 But when Our Clear Signs came to them, they said: "This is plain magic." 13 And they persisted in rejecting them wrongfully and arrogantly, while in their hearts they were convinced of their truth. Observe, then, how evil was the fate of the evil-doers. 14
