The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Ta Sin. These are verses from the Quran, a book that makes things clear; 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 Who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter. 3 Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; 4 Those are they for whom shall be an evil torment. And in the Hereafter they shall be the greatest losers. 5 As to thee, the Qur'an is bestowed upon thee from the presence of one who is wise and all-knowing. 6 When Moses said to his people 'I observe a fire, and will bring you news of it, or I will bring you a flaming brand, that haply you shall warm yourselves.' 7 When he approached the fire, he was told, "Blessed is the one in the fire and those around it. All glory belongs to God, the Lord of the Universe. 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 And cast thou down thy staff. Then when he saw it wriggling as though it were a serpent, he turned in flight and looked not back. O Musa! fear thou not; verily in My presence the sent ones fear not. 10 Except those who do some wrong but afterwards do good to make up for the wrong. And I am forgiving and merciful. 11 "And put your hand into your bosom, it will come forth white without hurt. (These are) among the nine signs (you will take) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his people, they are a people who are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 They denied those Signs out of iniquity and arrogance although their hearts were convinced of their truth. So see how evil was the end of those mischief-makers! 14
