The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 A guidance and good news for the believers, 2 Who keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and of the hereafter, they are sure. 3 As for those who do not believe in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds seem attractive to them so they stumble around in perplexity. 4 They are those for whom there will be an evil torment (in this world). And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. 5 You have received this Quran from One who is all-wise, all-knowing. 6 Recall what time Musa said unto his household: verily I perceive a fire afar; I shall forthwith bring you tidings thereof, or bring unto you a brand lighted therefrom, haply ye may warm yourselves. 7 So when he came to it a voice was uttered saying: Blessed is Whoever is in the fire and whatever is about it; and glory be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds; 8 [And God spoke thus:] "O Moses! Verily I alone am God, the Almighty, the Wise!" 9 And [he was told], "Throw down your staff." But when he saw it writhing as if it were a snake, he turned in flight and did not return. [Allah said], "O Moses, fear not. Indeed, in My presence the messengers do not fear. 10 save him who has done evil, then; after evil, has changed into good; All-forgiving am I, All-compassionate. 11 "Now place thy hand into thy bosom: it will come forth [shining] white, without blemish!" [And thou shalt go] with nine [of My] messages unto Pharaoh and his people for, verily, they are people depraved!" 12 So when Our clear signs came to them, they said: This is clear enchantment. 13 and in their wickedness and self-exaltation they rejected them, although their minds were convinced of their truth: and behold what happened in the end to those spreaders of corruption! 14
