The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ TA SIN. THESE are the verses of the Qur'an, and collection of explicit laws, 1 As guidance and good tidings for the believers 2 who pray regularly and pay obligatory alms and have firm faith in the Hereafter. 3 We make their deeds attractive to those who do not believe in the Hereafter, so that they may wander in perplexity. 4 Such are they for whom a grievous Penalty is (waiting); and in the Hereafter theirs will be the greatest loss. 5 And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. 6 (Remember) when Moses said to his family: "I see a fire. I shall bring you news from it, or bring an ember that you may warm yourselves." 7 But when he came to it, he was called, "Blessed is whoever is at the fire and whoever is around it. And exalted is Allah, Lord of the worlds. 8 O Moses, verily this is Me, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise! 9 And cast down your staff. So when he saw it in motion as if it were a serpent, he turned back retreating and did not return: O Musa! fear not; surely the apostles shall not fear in My presence; 10 Only the unjust become afraid in My presence. Even to these people who replace their bad deeds by good ones, I am All-forgiving and All-merciful. 11 And put thy hand into thy bosom, it shall come forth white, without hurt: amongst nine signs unto Fir'awn and his people. Verily they have been a people transgressing. 12 But when Our light-giving messages came unto them, they said, "This is clearly [but] spellbinding deception!" 13 They denied them unjustly out of pride, though their souls acknowledged them. See, how was the end of the corrupt workers! 14
