And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 “Proclaim, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Travel in the land and see what sort of fate befell the guilty.” 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 "Verily, your Lord is full of Grace for mankind, yet most of them do not give thanks." 73 And verily thy Lord knoweth all that their hearts do hide. As well as all that they reveal. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily thy Lord will decide between them by His Decree: and He is Exalted in Might, All-Knowing. 78 So you place your trust in God. Certainly you stand on positive truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
