Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We and our fathers were promised this before; these are but old stories." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 And they ask: 'When will this promise come, if what you say is true' 71 Say, "Perhaps it is close behind you - some of that for which you are impatient. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Indeed, this Qur'an relates to the Children of Israel most of that over which they disagree. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 So put your trust in Allah; surely, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ And when the word is fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth to speak unto them because mankind had not faith in Our revelations. 82
