The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say, "Perhaps some of the things which you wish to experience immediately are very close to you." 72 And surely your Lord is the Lord of grace to men, but most of them are not grateful. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Surely, this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that which they are at variance. 76 And lo! it is a guidance and a mercy for believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; surely you are on the clear truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Nor do you guide the blind out of their error, nor do you make any to hear, except those who believe in Our verses and are Muslims. 81 ۞ And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs. 82
