The unbelievers have said, "Shall we and our fathers be brought out of the graves after we become dust? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: "Go all over the earth and behold what happened in the end to those [who were thus] lost in sin!" 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 They also say: "Tell us when this threat will come to pass, if you are truthful." 71 Say, “It could be that a part of what you are impatient for is (already) after you.” 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 Lo! thy Lord knoweth surely all that their bosoms hide, and all that they proclaim. 74 Nor is there aught of the unseen, in heaven or earth, but is (recorded) in a clear record. 75 Verily, this Quran narrates to the Children of Israel most of that about which they differ. 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Indeed, your Lord will judge between them by His [wise] judgement. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Knowing. 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor canst thou be a guide to the blind, (to prevent them) from straying: only those wilt thou get to listen who believe in Our Signs, and they will bow in Islam. 81 ۞ And when the time for the fulfilment of Our Word against them will come, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth who will speak to them because people did not believe in Our Signs. 82
