And those who disbelieve say, "When we have become dust as well as our forefathers, will we indeed be brought out [of the graves]? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say: "Go ye through the earth and see what has been the end of those guilty (of sin)." 69 And grieve you not for them, nor be straitened (in distress) because of what they plot. 70 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 71 Say: Maybe there may have drawn near to you somewhat of that which you seek to hasten on. 72 But verily thy Lord is full of grace to mankind: Yet most of them are ungrateful. 73 Verily your Lord knows what lies hidden in their breasts and what they disclose. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Indeed this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel much of what they are at variance. 76 it is a guidance, and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Wherefore put thy trust in Allah; verily thou art on manifest truth. 79 [But,] verily, thou canst not make the dead hear: and [so, too,] thou canst not make the deaf [of heart] hear this call when they turn their backs [on thee] and go away, 80 Thou shalt not guide the blind out of their error neither shalt thou make any to hear, save such as believe in Our signs, and so surrender. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
